Why You Should Strongly Consider Getting Window Tint On Your Car
A car window tint involves adding a slightly colored hue on the car’s existing windows. Doing such things makes a car more attractive and adds an element of privacy since you can see what’s going on outside but the outside cannot see what’s going with you. This is especially helpful in preventing a possible breakin due to a thief seeing something of value in the back or front seat of your car.
But there are also functional reasons why you should consider getting a car window tint. For example a proper window tint helps provide protection for your car’s interior upholstery. In fact if you use a window tint the life of your car’s interior will be extended by 60 percent. This means your upholstery will look fresher and cooler for a longer period of time. And the reason this happens is because the window tint helps protect the interior against harmful ultraviolet rays that are emitted through sunlight. Tinting blocks around 99 percent of these rays offering protection for both your car’s interior and even yourself and your passengers. This is especially the case if you are on the road for hours.
Another functional purpose evident with a window tinting is increased window protection should the car get in a bad accident. The tinted windows are more effective at holding together glass even if it has been shattered. Windows with no window tint would completely break down while those that do have the window tint would stay up before totally collapsing; if they collapse. This could result in you or your passengers getting minimal if any bodily injury due to broken glass.
Lastly tinting could help keep your car cooler since it prevents sunlight from entering in. When you do not get windows tinted the seats and the wheel can annoyingly hot especially during warmer weather. Granted there are some that try to solve this problem through special windshield shades but the problem with these is that you have to remember to put them up each time you plan on not using your car. If you are in a rush you may not want to spend an extra couple of minutes getting that together. Yet with window tinting nothing needs to be done ever. You can leave the car as soon as you can and not have to worry about whether or not you’ll have to sit in a hot seat when you get back.
To get your windows tinted you can go to an auto specialty shop. Window tint shops are widely available and offer reasonable prices. But this doesn’t mean you should necessarily go with the first shop you see. Shop around and ask a lot of questions before you actually make a commitment financially. You will want to know how their work looks as well as how many windows they have tinted throughout the course of their enterprise. You can also Google in the name of the window tint shop and see if there are any complaints with them on automobile message boards. There is also the option of checking what the Better Business Bureau says about them.

Cherish That Used Mini
I’m about to write an article on Used Mini’s and already I’m chastised for using the wrong term!
Apparently the term is ‘Mini Cherished’. What is the difference I ask myself?
Open any used car magazine and there will be used Minis for sale in various degrees of condition and age. Speak to any Mini owner and you will find that their vehicle has been cherished for many years. Many of them are given names by the owner to personalise them strange but true.
The Mini has been in production since 1959 and is still going strong. Spares are still available and restoration projects are going on all over the world tucked away in garages and barns as enthusiasts ongoing projects.
Races are organised throughout the year at Brands Hatch and Snetterton with categories such as Standard Mighty Minis Super Mighty Minis and Xtreme Mighty Minis for the hardened racers. Miniworld owners club arrange events throughout the year such as the British Mini Fair set for January 2008 which will include trade stands pride of ownership display club displays and competitions.
Festivals shows meetings and action days are structured well in advance and the London to Brighton race set for May 2008 promises to be the event of the year.
So it is apparent that Mini owners don’t just view their vehicle as a means of getting from A to B. They truly cherish them and take every opportunity to show them off. In fact owning a Mini comes with a whole social structure of its very own.
But if all Minis are cherished what of the Mini Cherished official label?
BMW have taken over the production of Minis since 2001 and therein lies the cut off point for Used Mini. Owners of this treasured little car that makes such a big impact everywhere it goes now have the choice to market their Mini through Mini Cherished.
The Mini Cherished Programme won the Used Car Scheme 2006 from Auto Express magazine for their service to Mini owners. If the car is not up to the standards that keep Mini up with the best the technicians will fix it with genuine Mini parts ensuring its 12 month MOT and MOT cover. All paintwork and trim will be restored to suit its age and mileage and a full valet will be carried out.
A full service history as well as an independent vehicle history with mileage checks accompany an unlimited mileage minimum 12 month warranty. How Much Does A Segway Scooter Cost
The Segway scooter is a fascinating piece of machinery that is revolutionary in thought and mechanics. It is revolutionary in the fact that no one before the invention of the segway was able to build a scooter that could balance itself on two wheels by itself. So lets start by defining the Segway scooter. The Segway is a two wheeled scooter the is propelled by an electric motor. But it is more than that. The scooter has an sophisticated internal computer system that allows the Segway unit to balance itself on two wheels without falling down. This selfbalancing electric scooter was invented by Dean Kamen. Dean a visionary is an entrepreneur that holds more the 440 U.S. and foreign patents. Back in college he used his vast knowledge of physical sciences and physics to come up with some very innovative medical devices. He rolled all of these medical devices into his first company AutoSyrige Inc. The company was an success and was eventually sold to Baxter International Corporation. Leading up to the Segway Dean developed the Independence 3000 IBOT Transporter. The transporter was developed for the disabled community. The mobility chair that was unveiled in 1999 could climb stairs traverse sandy and rocky terrain and raise itself and the occupant up to eyelevel while sitting on two wheels. Then came the segway. It was built on some of the same principals as the 3000 IBOT Transporter. It ran on an electric motor as the transporter and the segway could also balance on 2 wheels like the transporter.
So how does it balance itself?
The motor and computer in the base of the unit balance the Segway PT upright when powered on with balancing enabled. The scooter moves forward by a users leaning forward and lean back to go backwards. To turn left and right the user would only have to “Lean Steer” the handlebar leaning it left or right.
In terms of speed each Segway PT comes with two operational settings “beginner” and “standard”. Beginner setting is set to 6mph/13kph and the standard setting is set to 12.5mph/20kph.
Gyroscopic sensors are used to detect tilting of the device which indicates a departure from perfect balance. Motors driving the wheels are commanded as needed to bring the PT back into balance.
Segway has found success in niche markets like police patrols warehouses and corporate campuses. Classification as a motor vehicle has been choppy to say the least. In some states the segway is classified as a motor vehicle but in some it is not. You would need to check you state to verify what classification the Segway would be in your state.
Depending on the model that you choose the segway scooters cost between 5000 dollars to 7000 dollars. Of course you can buy them used on sites like eBay for around 4000 dollars.
